There's a lot of wonderful places to spend your vacation but I suggest Dominican Republic. The place was great, I was there for 2 weeks and my experience is incomparable with other vacations. Hong Kong is awesome, a city where the east meets the west. The city is not only great for shopping and dining and Disney, it has a lot of beautiful natural landscape, countryside parks, trails and outlying islands which are free for everyone to enjoy.

Take off for a few years and wander the globe. but not so easy now days . The whole middle east is mostly off limits for Westerners. back in the 1970's middle east was grand.
I'd spend time in S.E Asia:
Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos,Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia,New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand,Fiji, then work on a freigter to South America, knock around there for a year or so.find jobs along the way. Europe is expensive and boring.
