Kind of. The answer above is quite true. We Indonesians are suffering from inferiority complex and most of us believe that all white people are wayy better than us. You are welcomed everywhere. IDR's low exchange rate will give benefits to you. You can buy things in extremely lower price. Also most Indonesians are proud to have white boyfriend/girlfriend.. hmm. not sure why. Anyways. Bali Island and some big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Malang are relatively safe for white Europeans to stay. But beware of some terrorists and other extremists. They're kinda nuts. Haven't heard of any terrorism attack for the last 6 years in those cities mentioned, though. I hope they're getting more and more open minded. Meh.

Yes it is. There are so many expats live in indonesia, especially in Jakarta. They live a good life here with several maids, driver, personal assistants, etc. i used to study and live in London and Sydney but the way asians accept caucasians is so much more welcome to be compare how caucasians accept asians.
