Communist or formerly Communist countries. If you are asking which ones are best to visit, I would say Cuba to start with, followed by Russia (though the price of a visa is quite stiff). China is an amazing cultural experience, and is a different world, but make sure you know about all of the bureaucracy involved before you go there first. As for all countries, find out which is the best time of year to go, in terms of climate.

I prefer Russia and Cuba the most out of those choices, Russia more though.
