My boyfriend's parents are paying for him to travel the world for the summer with a friend as his graduation gift, and he really wants to take me. I know that if we have sex, he'll be charged with rape and all of that... But I'm more worried about whether or not he would be charged with kidnap. My parents would never willingly let me go, so I plan to just leave without telling them but leave a long detailed note for them explaining everything about my decision, my reasoning, and the trip itself. I plan to send post cards of everywhere we go, and just before leaving a place to go somewhere new I would go to a public telephone and give them a call.

In order to travel, I figure it would work to just take my records and passport and everything with me and I could probably forge any extra signatures by my parents or trick them into signing any papers before I leave. I haven't figured out the details yet or the possibilities of it. But could he by any chance be charged with kidnap? Because technically, being a minor, I am property of my parents. So I don't know if my own consent would hold up in court.
