I would chose Colombia because it will be a bit cold in Argentina . Remember their winter is during our summer in North America.
Colombians are much friendlier. Argentina is great but very expensive these days. Colombia will be hot, Argentina will be cold. What do you want to do and see? Both countries have awesome things to do and see.

I have been to both countries and recently spent 3 months in Colombia. Both are great countries and it depends what you are looking for. Buenos Aires is like Paris/France, pretty sophisticated, but a lot cheaper than Paris. There are so many things to see and do in Argentina. Explore Bariloche in the Andes (very beautiful), the wine country around Mendoza, Cordoba, and many other places. Argentina is a very European country what the culture is concerned and about 97% of the population is white.
Colombia on the other hand has different things to offer. You have the tropical climate along the Caribbean Coast with Cartagena (one of the most beautiful cities in South America), Santa Marta, "La Ciudad Perdida" (The Lost City) which is about 800 years older than Machu Picchu in Peru and can only be reached by foot (3 day hike through the jungle). Then there is Medellin, a beautiful city with a near perfect climate. The coffee growing region around Manizales is also very nice. The people in Colombia are the most friendly in all of Latin America.
What food is concerned, Argentina has excellent food and if you like steak, then Argentina is your country. The food in Colombia is nothing to write home about.
Whatever you decide you can't go wrong.

If you wanna know the caribbean go to cuba or dominican republic If you wanna know the pacific go to chile if you wanna know los andes go to ecuador If you wanna know the jungle go to brazil if you wanna know cultures go to mexico or peru BUT IF YOU WANNA KNOW ALL THOSE THINGS TOGUETHER GO TO COLOMBIA!!!!
I have the opportunity to visit one of these places this summer.. I'm not sure which one I should pick though! Both sound amazing. :)
